LEO'S STORY

leo2.jpg - 21774 Bytes

ABOVE is Leo, many of you know of Leo's plight, mature cataracts on both eyes making him blind.

Thanks to so many wonderful people (listed below), Leo will be having his surgery in late June. He is settling in his new home while waiting for his life changing operation, and is proving to be a loving companion as well as a couch potato! I hope to have a photo soon of him enjoying his home comforts.

Meanwhile, another huge thank you to all the people listed below, who helped to ensure Leo gets a new start in life.

LEO'S Surgery Date is Monday 9th July 2007

UPDATE!! Wednesday 11th July - I picked Leo up from the vets this morning, and Dr Chester is very pleased with his progress so far. The cataracts were very mature and had obviously been there a long time.

Leo's vision will steadily improve over the next couple of weeks, but he can certainly see now, and found his way around the vet surgery on Tuesday with no problems.

He will be staying with me for at least the next two weeks, and as well as needing several different eye drops six times a day. he will be seeing Dr Chester every few days for check ups.

It's just great to think how much his life will change now, and one of the best things which I hadn't really thought about until now, is that he looks wonderful without those round, shiny white bits on his eyes! He now has true Boxer eyes!

Monday 23rd July - Leo has had his check ups, with another still to go later this week. All is going well and he continues to improve - no more bumping into things! He should be going to his new home soon.

UPDATE!! 5.8.07 - View Videotape of Leo 'at play' with his new owners who simply adore him, on the below video tape with sound
